The Government of Navarra believes annual frequency is adequate for an event like the Punto de Vista Film Festival. Accordingly, the regional authorities are organising next year’s Festival with the cooperation of the Baluarte Foundation, replicating this year’s format.

Terra nullius, upcoming Punto de Vista IN FOCUS film at the Navarra Film Library

A new documentary picked by the members of the Punto de Vista team will be screened at the Navarra Film Library. On 5 November, the screening will be dedicated to Terra nullius (No Man’s Land, 2012), by Portuguese director Salomé Lamas, who will be there to take part in a discussion of the film. Terra nullius is a documentary based on the confessions of a Portuguese mercenary who fought in the Dirty Wars in Africa, openly talking about his deads and killings (even the price for each dead target) in the French Basque Country. A film about extreme confessions, but takes us to that no man's land where man expresses with the biggest depth and contradictions. A film about the great paradox of being human.

The film El otro mapa de Abauntz, by Aitor Gametxo, winner project of the X Films Award 2014 of Punto de Vista, participates in the 15th edition of the Documentary Film Festival DOC Buenos Aires, held from 15 to 28 October in the Argentine capital. Gametxo’s film will be screened in two sessions, on October 15 and 27.

With July and August gone, the registration period for films in the official selection of the Punto de Vista Festival has one more month to go. The deadline is late September. More than 500 short and feature films have already been submitted.
