Punto de Vista is launching a new campaign to recruit volunteers

Punto de Vista is launching a new campaign to recruit volunteers for the XI edition of the film festival, to perform the following tasks: ushers; press and communications; providing assistance to guests; providing service and information to the general public. 

To volunteer you must be over 18 and, in some cases, have a high level of any of the following languages: Basque, English, French, or German. 

The campaign is launching on 24 November. Anyone interested in volunteering at the festival must complete the form on the festival webpage by 29 February 2017. Volunteers will not be expected to work more than 5 hours a day. Volunteers are protected by public liability insurance and will be given a festival pass so that they can see films when they are not working. At the end of the festival, all volunteers will receive a certificate accrediting their participation.

For the third straight year, Punto de Vista will have a Youth Jury, consisting of local youngsters who watch the films, discuss them and grant a final prize – an effort to educate future audiences that illustrates the Festival’s social function.

In line with the strategy to cement ties with the city at large, Punto de Vista will continue to invite film and art students to the film screenings. They make the most grateful, loyal and qualified of audiences.
