The Gayarre Theatre will be the venue for a documentary theatre cycle called The Fifth Wall, where plays that call for other ways of narrating reality will be performed. On 5th and 7th March, Maruja enamorada (Maruja in Love) and Nadia will bring actors on stage to perform their own lives, without fiction. The Niza and Plaza de Baluarte Cafés and the Civican Centre will host another part of this programme, a self-theatre production called Etiquette, in which the public, in pairs, can form part of a theatre play that develops around one of the tables, following the instructions given to them via headphones.
The Huarte Contemporary Art Centre, under new management, will be another stop on the festival’s journey through the surroundings of Pamplona with a documentary film workshop by the filmmaker, Sergio Oksman. The Jorge Oteiza Museum Foundation also joins these new initiatives with a look at the film creation of the artist and sculptor from Orio.
Another social function of the Festival will be its cooperation with schools, with a workshop prepared by the artistic director, Oskar Alegria, on How to narrate film. The initiative will begin at the Vázquez de Mella Public School and at the Ikastola Jaso, and the results can be seen in a session that has been announced in the programme as “The Movie Never Seen”, to keep the initiative a surprise.
Finally, and for the second year in a row, Punto de Vista will work with the Katakrak bookshop, where the Radio 3 programme, El Séptimo Vicio, directed by Javier Tolentino, will be recorded in its café. The programme will be especially dedicated to the festival and will be recorded between Monday 6th and Thursday 9th with live acoustic performances by diverse musical groups. Furthermore, Katakrak will have a stand devoted to Punto de Vista in its bookshop, with works related to the festival. There will also be a point devoted to Punto de Vista in the Navarra Library.
On the evenings of the festival, bars like Nébula or Nicolette will host night-time celebrations, with DJ sessions and meeting points for guests.
