Punto de Vista is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the protests of 1968 with a subversive selection of films which aim to establish new languages of protest and defiance

The programme consists of five sessions screening films shot in the 1960s to remind us of those years and others which probe the future in search of a new way of looking at reality.

The festival will also screen her short film “Rapa das bestas”.

Correspondencias (Correspondence) brings together filmmakers from different points in history through films which converse with one another like audiovisual letters filmed by certain directors for others.

In addition to running the film sessions, Punto de Vista will also be publishing a book containing unique, unexpected correspondence between filmmakers from different periods.

The historian of American avant-garde cinema P. Adams Sitney is to take part in several events at Punto de Vista 2018, including a masterclass and an illustrated talk

Sitney is the celebrated author of Visionary Film, one of the first books on the history of experimental cinema in the United States.

21 documentary films will compete in the Official Selection of the 12th edition of Punto de Vista

21 feature and short films (three more than in 2017) from 14 different countries will make up the Official Selection of the twelfth edition of the Punto de Vista - International Documentary Film Festival of Navarra, which will be held from 5 to 10 March 2018.
