The Jury of Proyecto X Films will consist of Cristina Cámara Bello, Dario Oliveira and Nathalie Trafford.
The filmmaker and curator at the Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin Hila Peleg, the producer and Artistic Director of the Rotterdam Festival from 1996 to 2004 Simon Field, and the Director of the Harvard Film Archive Haden Guest make up the Jury of the Official Selection of the fourteenth edition of Punto de Vista.
The Jury will award the three main prizes of the festival in the Closing Ceremony on Saturday 7th March: the Gran Premio Punto de Vista for best film, the Premio Jean Vigo for best director and the Prize for the Best Short Film.

Simon Field was Director of Cinema at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), in London, from 1988 until 1996 when he became Director of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) until 2004. On leaving Rotterdam he joined Keith Griffiths’ UK-based Illuminations Films to co-produce films by Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Tsai Ming-liang, Paz Encina and others for Peter Sellars’ New Crowned Hope Festival. Since then, he has worked primarily with Apichatpong. They produced his Palme d’Or winning Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (2010) and the related multi-screen installation Primitive (2009), as well as the film Cemetery of Splendour (2015). He is currently executive producing his new feature Memoria, shot in Colombia.
Haden Guest is a film historian, curator and Director of the Harvard Film Archive (HFA). He curates and oversees the HFA cinematheque program as well its motion picture and manuscript collections. He has curated programs for the Viennale, Oberhausen and the Mar del Plata Film Festivals as well as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Museum in Lisbon. He was producer of Soon-Mi Yoo’s Songs from the North, winner of a Golden Leopard at the 2014 Locarno Film Festival. He is a Senior Lecturer in Art, Film and Visual Studies at Harvard University.
Hila Peleg is a curator and filmmaker. She has curated solo shows, large-scale group exhibitions and interdisciplinary cultural events, across the visual arts, film and architecture. She was co-curator of Manifesta 7 and curator of the film program at the 10th Shanghai Biennale. Between 2010 to 2014 she was the Artistic Director of the Berlin Documentary Forum, a biennial event devoted to the presentation of contemporary and historical documentary practices in an interdisciplinary context. More recently, she was the curator of documenta 14. She is also known for her documentary film work, including A Crime Against Art (2007) and Sign Space (2016), observation-based documentaries that engage with the debates that inform the institutional space of art. She is the editor of the book Documentary Across Disciplines, and currently works as a curator at Haus der Kulturen der Welt, in Berlin.

The International Jury, Public and Youth prizes will be complemented by ‘X Films’, the section of Punto de Vista that provides an opportunity to create an audiovisual production in Navarre. The film and video curator of the Museo Reina Sofía Cristina Cámara Bello, the director of the Porto/Post/Doc festival Dario Oliveira and the producer Nathalie Trafford will make their choice from among the projects presented.

Cristina Cámara Bello is an art historian and curator. Since 2006, she is responsible for the Film and Video Collection at the Museo Reina Sofía. She has been part of the curatorial team of exhibitions organized by the museum such as "Territories and Fictions. Thinking a New Way of the World" (2016-2017); and "Minimal Resistance. Between Late Modernism and Globalization: Artistic Practices during the 80s and 90s" (2013-2014). Her research focuses on the moving image, the history behind, collecting and exhibition issues. Her most recent curatorial projects have been "Val del Omar. The Mechanical Mysticism of Cinema" (Museo Reina Sofía, 2019) and "Rosa Barba. Drawn by the Pulse "(Tabakalera, 2018). She lives and works in Madrid.
Dario Oliveira has a wide experience in several roles in film promotion, production and programming. He was one of the founders of Curtas Vila do Conde Festival; and he directed it from 1993 to 2013. He has also curated and coordinated film programmes, seminars and exhibitions for several festivals and institutions. Dario managed the programme Estaleiro, a project where cinema students and young cinema professionals worked together with experienced directors and produced more than ten documentaries. He was cinema co-programmer in Porto 2001 European Capital of Culture, which had its central focus in “Festival Odisseia das Imagens” (Odyssey of the Images Festival), a project dedicated to documentary cinema that has been an inspiration to Porto/Post/Doc, festival which he is currently directing. He has taught at various schools and universities in Porto.
Nathalie Trafford was born in Chile and has spent her childhood in Spain. After graduating at the Lycée Français in Madrid, she settles in Paris to study Art History at the Sorbonne University. Simultaneously, she discovers the world of cinema working as an assistant in French and Spanish shootings. In 1996, she sets up Paraíso Production Diffusion in France. Nathalie Trafford conceives her production career as a way of building bridges among cultures and countries, looking for directors with a strong and personal approach to filmmaking. To date, she has produced nine features as delegate or co-producer—"Léa" by Bruno Rolland, "El telón de azúcar" by Camila Guzmán, and "Machuca" by Andres Wood, among others—and thirty shorts.
