More than 100 films from 20 countries to be screened from 15 to 20 March.
The collective audiovisual project, which asks eight contemporary filmmakers to write a filmed letter to another director, will be shown at the festival’s closing ceremony.
Tickets are now on sale on the festival website and at the box office at Baluarte, the chief venue of Punto de Vista.
The three audiovisual pieces designed will be screened at the beginning of each session at the festival.
Once again, Paisaia will bring together the most recent Basque-Navarrese short films and its filmmakers. Special sessions will also include a piece by the American composer Pauline Oliveros and a screening of Jeune femme à sa fenêtre lisant une lettre, filmmaker Jean Claude-Rousseau’s first film.
DOKBIZIA will feature artists from different disciplines, such as dance, music, cinema and poetry.
The Jury members for the X Films project are Ane Rodríguez Armendáriz, Luís Urbano and Marta Ponsa.
This program includes the 16 mm films by Robert Fenz, a screening of the latest film by Pedro G. Romero "Nueve Sevillas", the lecture "Point of View" with researcher Nicholas Zembashi from Forensic Architecture and a talk with the artist Lawrence Abu Hamdan.
Sculptor, film-maker and photographer Nancy Holt was an artist who developed an innovative way of exploring our relationship with the planet. She and the influential curator Amos Vogel will be featured in retrospectives at the forthcoming edition of the festival.
The Official Section of the fifteenth edition of the Punto de Vista festival, to be held from 15th to 20th March 2021, consists of thirty-two films from twenty countries. The selection, from over 900 films entered, includes 6 features and 26 shorts.
