The Punto de Vista Official Selection features twenty-three films from fifteen different countries.

Zinzindurrunkarratz by Oskar Alegria will be opening this year's festival, and de caballos y guitarras by Pedro G. Romero is to close it, both films in the Official Selection though not competing

This year around 800 films were entered, from which the twelve features and eight shorts competing for the festival prizes were selected.

Cinema before 1300 and Néstor Basterretxea, stars of the Contacts section, in which Punto de Vista combines documentary film with other disciplines.

This year audiences will get the chance to see a film with a talk by Jerome Hiler about how the gothic art of stained glass windows is related to film, and the homage to Basterretxea to take place at the Oteiza museum in this, his centenary year.
