Young Programmers will run from September to February with sessions at the Filmoteca and Civivox

Punto de Vista festival is opening a call for applications for a new group of Young Programmers (young people aged between 15 and 19), who will organise and present sessions in collaboration with the Foco Punto de Vista, Heroínas de Cine and Ateneo Navarro programmes.

Punto de Vista is expanding its Moving Cinema x Punto de Vista Young Programmers scheme for 2026. The programme will bring together a group of 15 participants who, throughout the year, will have the opportunity to present and programme different film series taking place in our city. To do so, they will receive guidance and support from coordinators who will assist them throughout the experience. In addition, filmmaker Patxi Burillo will be their mentor and will provide ongoing supervision of the activities.

Through this initiative, young people aged 15 to 19 with an interest in cinema and no prior experience will be able to approach the world of film through the practice of film programming, discovering the processes and criteria involved in selecting films for a specific audience. The activity also aims to encourage enjoyment of cinema and to develop a critical and creative perspective on audiovisual works.

To this end, the following programme has been designed, divided into three sections and coordinated together with recognised organisations linked to the world of cinema and culture:

  • Punto de Vista Focus screenings at the Filmoteca de Navarra
  • Ateneo Navarro cultural association, which organises sessions at the Filmoteca de Navarra
  • Heroínas de Cine film forum at Civivox

Applications are open here.
