What do a Tasmanian tiger (extinct in the 1930s), the soundtracks of 1950s B movies of alien invasions, Megaupload and Basque Radical Rock have in common? Maybe nothing, unless an indomitable, heterodox filmmaker like Kikol Grau chooses to bring them together, for the sake of fun and provocation, in the Punto de Vista 2013 trailer. An invitation to reinvent ourselves and rely on our creative potential in times of darkness.
Dear friends, Here, you will find the podcast and the video file of the press conference held on Monday in Pamplona:
As in past editions, Punto de Vista wants to show the work of the filmmakers who make the Festival’s international jury. This year we have three names standing for three disparate film concepts.
What is left of us when we are left without memories? Alan Berliner, a regular at the Festival and one of the most prestigious independent filmmakers in USA, puts his amazing capacity at the service of experimental film, human feelings and aesthetic sense in his portrait of his cousin, friend and former mentor Edwin Honig, who has Alzheimer’s.
“Processes” is a new section within PdV dedicated to film-makers from Navarra who are currently in the process of creating documentaries or non-fiction audiovisual proposals. This meeting point aims to put the public in contact with the documentary makers and their work, whereby they will expand on the creative process behind their films and show some excerpts of them.
