Iván Torres Hernández

Lois PatiñoIván Torres Hernández (Madrid, 1981) studied filmmaking in Madrid and then moved to Scotland, where he went into the field of performance and Live Visuals, developing various projects for record labels and contemporary dance companies. He took his first steps into documentary film when he settled in Finland. His first work was a radio piece for the BBC. New projects came along and Iván combined them with performances and various camera works in Berlin and Paris. Since then, this young filmmaker has made films, such as A Different Map (2009), Eric by Mrs. Dolphy (2010), Shipwreck (2012) and The Length (2014).

 

Xiana Gómez Díaz

Lois PatiñoXiana Gómez Díaz (Lugo, 1982) is a documentary maker and visual artist, co-founder of the indie production company, Walkie Talkie Films (2008), with which she has made cultural and social documentaries for television. In 2013, Xiana began to shoot her first experimental works: Clips, short films ranging from musical videos to al video-essay and video-art, which share some aesthetic features and a lo-fi proposal. At the end of 2013, she presented her most complex film to date, Vacacions, a portrayal of social rituals filmed in Galicia, where the director spent her childhood. Since 2013, she has worked on a research and production project which will be released in 2015, Proyecto D, leading to an experimental film on adolescence and an intimate female tale in conjunction with Carla Calleja. Xiana combines her audiovisual fiction experiments with research work (she is a Doctor in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising) and music (The Adaptation Band, TA!).

 

Stefan Ivančić

Stefan IvančićStefan Ivančić (Yugoslavia, 1985) lived in Barcelona for 18 years, where he graduated in Mechanical Engineering. In 2009, he returned to his native Belgrade and graduated in Film Directing in 2013. Member of FIPRESCI, he has written film reviews for Spanish and Serbian magazines, and was a founding member and chief editor of the specialised websites Lumière and Contrapicado. He has worked on several joint books about the film industry and has worked as a programmer and editor of publications at the Cinema City International Film Festival Novi Sad (Serbia), the Pančevo Film Festival (Serbia) and the Las Palmas International Film Festival in Gran Canaria. He has made the short films Soles de primavera (2013), 1973 (2014) and Moonless Summer (2014), which have been selected at international festivals, such as Cannes, Rotterdam, Torino, San Sebastian, Seville or L’Alternativa Barcelona. He is currently producing the feature film, The Load by Ognjen Glavonić.
