BabaKiueria is a country where whites are marginalised in society and work by the indigenous black population. Politically incorrect, this film suggests a change in roles to explore the stigma of racial discrimination in Australia as turned upside down. In a scathing satire, Don Featherstone denounces the events of the generations stolen from aboriginal tribes from 1910 to 1970 and portrays with caustic irony the inconvenient truth that pushed the first inhabitants of Australia to the verge of extinction.

Don Featherstone

Don Featherstone has produced, written, and directed over 40 documentaries on a wide range of subjects in the fields of music, science, sports, history, and art. Holding a degree from the School of Film and Television of Swinburne University, he has worked for the BBC and the prestigious TV programme The South Bank Show. His works are characterised by bold stylistic choices and careful production, two traits that have earned him several international awards, like those he got at the IECF Hi-def Festival Tokyo, the Hot Docs Festival in Toronto, the San Francisco Film & TV Festival, Festival international du film sur l’art in Montreal, and the Chicago International Film Festival. Featherstone has also been nominated for the BAFTA and the Emmy Awards.
