A few days before leaving home, I bought a camera to film my life abroad. I had just met a girl and, to me, Europe looked to be a modern place, full of lights and opportunities. A few months later, in March, the lights went out for me and for Europe. As I didn't understand anything at all, I started to film again. I wanted to leave a wake of images in my path, ones that I might understand in the future.
