Halfway between industrial poem and video-dance, Rainbow’s Gravity imagines a staging that conjugates the verb to reveal in all of its meanings to explain the Agfacolor-Neu, a colour photographic film produced in Nazi Germany. The film seeks the reverse shot of what has been filmed and unravels the propaganda and psychological implications of that material. The film is portrayed with the same palate of colours and is screened in the same abandoned former line of production. It puts film in the cube. It is a film to show what that film showed us.

Mareike Bernien (Berlin) and Kerstin Schroedinger (London/Zurich) have been working together on diverse film projects, exhibitions and texts since 2006. They are united by a constant in their work: critically questioning the production of images and using them to recreate films that invite you to think. For this, they use film, radio, music and text. Their work questions ideological certainties of representation and historic continuities. The media and their formats are the field with which they experiment and where they develop their ideas which clash between contents and form.
