Olmo and the Seagull

Year2015 Duration85 min. DirectorPetra Costa, Lea Glob

A journey that is introduced in the mind of Olivia, an actress who is pregnant whilst rehearsing Chekhov's The Seagull. Serge is her partner in real life and they also share roles on the stage, without us knowing where this pretend life and real life begins and ends, where their home and the stage begins. Olmo will be the name of the boy, but also of the contradiction that arises when she is forced to put down roots like a tree (elm tree) and stop the flight of the play (The Seagull) to be confined to a fifth floor in Paris without a lift, following a complicated pregnancy.
